LOCATIONS

When beginning to plan our filming we had to think about where a good and suitable place would be to film. We decided as a group to film at Amelia's house, this is as there are plenty of places we could use and make look eerie. It is a large open house and is perfect for a thriller setting.

Our first main location is Amelia's room, we use this to show one of the characters (Honor) getting ready, you do not see a large view of the room and the camera is shown in one place.
As it is a thriller the setting does not change it will not be dark or have gore and blood etc as it would not fit with the genre this although will add to the more eerie effect as everything seems normal.
Here is where the conversation begins and it shows the character Honor is playing getting ready.

The second location is in Amelia's bathroom this is where the second character (Katie) is located her and Honor are shown having a conversation. Again the setting does not look unusual and seems normal as if nothing is wrong. This is the location where you will see the lights go of, this is also a good room to use as it echos and adds to the thriller effect.

Here Katie's part of the conversation is seen and this is where she is getting ready. Within this scene it is where you see the first glimpse of the "scary person.

We also use the stairs in the film however these are not a main location they are just seen when one of the characters runs down them scared.

We use the stairs for two shots, seeing Honor run from the top then a match on action shot from the bottom.
Within the shots however you cannot see the stairs this clear as the power is off.

Another main location use in Amelia's house is the games room. We use this location to hold a conversation between the characters.
Although you cannot tell obviously the room is quite cold and open spaced and is a perfect setting for a thriller.
From here Katie leaves to go into the pool room in order to make the power work again.

One other location we used in Amelia's house is her garden and her pool room. We use this art the end of our opening sequence and it is used as the most eerie part of the film. It is a good setting as it is dark and outside.
